This weekend I'm adventuring to Seattle, Washington for a girls weekend with my fun mother and two younger sisters. (Yep, I'm the oldest of 3 girls!) I used to live in Seattle every summer for 7 years and I truly believe that is were I developed the love for lush green forests and fresh seafood. I'm now counting down the hours till Friday and my departure time. Traveling, oh how I love you.

Concerts are by far one of my favorite things to do on the weekends and for the past 4 months I have seriously been going to a concert every other weekend. San Francisco has hands down one of the best music scenes I have ever encountered. These photos are from a Bassnectar show a few weekends ago and Lorin, the man behind it all, is a complete master of the craft. As much as I love deep and heavy bass I can't listen to it all the time. For example I am currently indulging in the positive vibes of Noah and The Wale.

"Not All Who Wander Are Lost" has been my life quote for many many years now. I can't even exactly pin point where I discovered the saying, thats how long I've been living with it embedded in my mind. The saying, to me, means that because I stroll around aimlessly doesn't mean I'm lost. I'm walking with my eyes wide open, as well as my mind, with the hopes of meeting someone new and discovering somewhere amazingly unfamiliar.
Try it. You will not regret it.

Considering I love interior design, I can't help but taking in all aspects of a store or restaurant when I first step into it. I found myself being so drawn to the ceilings at many of the restaurants in NYC, almost all of which were tin and vintage looking. The ceiling is such a small detail that really catches my eye and can add a unique atmosphere to the entire room. (as usual all photos taken by me)

I have two very close friends, Brian and Logan, who are currently traveling around Asia for an entire year. I was lucky enough to be the last person to see them off when they flew out of San Francisco headed toward Taiwan. They are both so creatively fun and interesting that I have no doubt in my mind that they will have some wild adventures and even crazier stories to share. Here are some photos that Logan has taken thus far from their days spent in Taiwan and Thailand. They are breathtaking and I couldn't help but share. Be sure to check out both their blogs linked above.

Tonight is the night! The book club I created is finally coming together to have our first meeting. The club consists of 4 girls including myself; which is the perfect amount of people to start with in my opinion. The first book we have chosen is The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and let me tell you... It's amazing and I truly can't put it down once I find time to read it throughout my busy day. Our book club is not just going to be about books, questions and sharing in depth thoughts. We will also partake in lots of delicious food around the city, indulge in wine and tea, and talk about life in San Francisco which we are all somewhat new to. I'm feeling very inspired today and ready to start this new small chapter of my life. (pun intended)

If you have any questions on how I started my book club or are interested in joining our club feel free to contact me.
Have a wonderful day!

I must admit, I have been quite the chef lately. Tomato season is coming to an end here in San Francisco and I'm honestly worried about what I'm going to eat all winter. I love tomatoes! J and I have started a Wednesday night tradition of going to the wonderful farmers market right down the street from our house. I recently discovered the wonderful blog Honey & Jam and more importantly this amazing homemade tomato soup recipe. I followed the recipe exactly EXCEPT for instead of half and half I used coconut milk. I am so happy that there are leftovers in my fridge to keep on enjoying through the weekend.
